Yes, I got an English degree. Clearly this means I must know EVERY SINGLE WORD IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE.
That's some interesting etymology. Unfortunately ENGR 145 didn't deal much with real chemistry; it was mostly engineering applications, so the only molecular stuff we did was at the end, with polymers.
