The acting is bad. The characters are flat and annoying. The plots are trite and littered with holes you could chuck William Howard Taft through. Let's see, what else...
haha you know, i can't really deny any of that... i think i just find the plots, while trite, at least clever. also, are you referring to new or old doctor who? either way, i probably classify it as a guilty pleasure of sorts...
Hmm, I don't know which one I saw. It was in color. I was told I was watching "the second season," of which I saw the Christmas episode and then "The Girl in the Fireplace."
I guess if a show runs that long it stands to reason that some "eras" of it will be substantially better than others, but you know what they say about first impressions. I've definitely not been persuaded to give it any second chances. "Hey look, the Doctor's come in. I'm loaded with all kinds of weaponry and he's unarmed, but instead of killing him I'm going to stand around and listen to his ingratiating quips and then let him kill me." Garrrrr.
